Melanie Denard has been wowing audiences around the Southeast since 2001 with her unique, soul-drenched stylings of southern rock, delta blues, sultry pop and “edgy” country. Known by her fans for her affinity for all things Southern, Melanie is widely acclaimed for her powerful, earthy voice and her penchant for “Melanizing” ordinary songs to transform them into truly extraordinary experiences for her listeners.

Melanie burst onto the national and international music scenes in spectacular fashion in 2003 by performing in VH1’s globally-televised “Born To Diva” TV series by virtue of being a Top 5 Finalist for both Atlanta and New York City. Her moving performances of “I Will Always Love You” and “It Hurt so Bad” on the NYC show and “Fallin” on the Atlanta show literally “rocked the house” each time and drew acclaim from audiences around the world.

A native of Marietta, GA, Melanie first solidified her grip on music lovers in the Metro Atlanta area in 2002 by winning a Top 3 berth in the STAR94 (fm) Favorite Radio Singer Contest and a Top 10 berth in the 2003 ATLANTA WKHX (fm) Nashville Star Contest. She has continued to expand her burgeoning fan base by virtue of her standout performances at club and festival gigs, showcases, and corporate/private events.

Melanie re-located to Nashville in early 2007 and is actively pursuing her career as a singer and songwriter. Melanie says, “I love all music that has Southern themes or origins and that derives from our marvelous diversity of cultures, races, and ethnicities in the new South. I love to just have fun and go wherever the music takes me. I don’t fret much over so-called genre boundaries.”
